ADVANCES IN COMPETITIVENESS RESEARCH
Guidelines for papers to be included in Advances in Competitiveness Research, the research journal of the ASC.
In order for any paper to be included in Advances in Competitiveness Research, the paper must meet the following format specifications:
All papers must be typed, single-spaced, on regular 8.5" x 11" paper. The left and right margins must be 1", the top and bottom margins must be 1.3"; and the font, Times New Roman, 12-point. A brief autobiography of author(s) should appear at the end of the paper.
The title of the paper, not to exceed three lines, should be in BOLD, CAPITALIZED, and CENTERED. Please note that the title should begin on the SEVENTH line from the top margin.
The names of the author(s) should be placed under the title (5 line spaces) without affiliations and/or position titles, and must be BOLD, CENTERED, and in TITLE CASE (Only first letter in each work capitalized). A line (2 spaces under the author(s)’ name(s)) must be drawn. Use commas to separate multiple authors on the same line.
All headings should be BOLD, CAPITALIZED, and CENTERED. Please skip two (2) line spaces above and one (1) line space below.
Sub-headings should be BOLD, CENTERED, TITLE CASE (Only first letter in each word capitalized). Please skip one (1) line space above and below.
Indent new paragraphs one horizontal space, except after headings or sub-headings when text begins flush left. Leave 1 line space above and below paragraphs.
Figures and tables should be placed as close as possible to the location in the text where they are first cited. Their identification labels should be centered, typed in all capitals, bolded and should appear above the table or figure as follows:

All figures and tables must be photo-reproducible. Symbols or parts of a figure that cannot be typed should be drawn carefully using black ink.
The style for references and bibliographies must follow those of the publications manual of the American Psychological Association. Titles of journals or books should be italicized instead of underlined. PLEASE NOTE: Reference styles must be observed; otherwise, the paper will not be published on time. Below are examples.

A brief autobiography of the authors should appear at the end of the references. It should be in 12-point font (Times New Roman). Between the references and the author(s)' autobiography(ies) half a line should be drawn. Please include contact information, such as e-mail address, etc.
Number all pages in the lower right hand corner using LIGHT pencil marks. (These will be erased and new sequential page numbers typed).
Submit two camera-ready copies along with a copy in MS Word 2000 on disk containing a file (tables, text, graphs, etc. must be included in one file) of your paper. Please remember that the camera-ready copies will be used for duplication. Any errors, unwanted marks, and so on will be duplicated as submitted.
