The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers free business consulting to existing and start-up businesses in the preparation of business plans.  Our staff will help you pull together a business plan suitable for presentation to a bank.  This includes working with you to put together a complete set of financial projections.

Although business plans represent the heart of our work, we can, and do work with area businesses to address a wide array of business assistance needs.  Some of these needs we address directly through our resources at the IUP SBDC, for others we utilize the assistance of our resource partners at the university, the Management Services Group, and for others we utilize our resource partners throughout the SBDC network.  The IUP SBDC is at the center of a portfolio of services which can be used to address your business needs.  In order to learn more about specific services and/or get a sense of the range of our capabilities to help your business please refer to our Specialized Services and Programs page.

The IUP SBDC is also very involved in economic development and maintains strong relationships with area economic development agencies.  Consequently, we are fully aware of financial assistance programs.  At the IUP SBDC we maintain a special interest and ability to work with start-up and product development efforts.  In addition to contacting us, persons pursuing these types of projects might consider the space available at the Indiana County Small Business Incubator.  Persons looking for expansion space might consider The Commerce Park or The Corporate Campus Interchange Center.

Funding support and resources are provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in part by a grant from the Department of Community & Economic Development, and by the U.S. Small Business Administration under cooperative agreement #03-603001-Z-0040-23.
